When I took my dog out on Monday morning, I found a park full of leftover plastic eggs and bunnies that were left behind by the Easter crowds. I thought I'd share a few photos of the festive detritus.

The creek was full of shells, both real and plastic. |

Hello JSarie,
ReplyDeleteGreat pictures! It is just a shame people don't pick up after themselves!
Big hug

Thanks, Giac!
DeleteIt is a shame about the plastic being left behind though. People seem to get so caught up in their fun that they forget that someone will need to clean it up afterwards.
Nice photos, and I agree with Giac, sad that people don't pick up after themselves. One thing is with the real egg shells, those will nature take care of. Harder with the plastic ones.
ReplyDeleteHappy weekend.
Yeah, the natural egg shells (and lamb bones, although I didn't take photos of those) and the paper from piñatas will biodegrade, but those plastic shells last forever. Park staff ended up cleaning up over the week, but it's still a shame that people don't pick them up themselves.
DeleteI was just going to say the same as Giac and DollsDolour, it's such a shame that people don't take their rubbish home with them, or to the rubbish bins, which I'm sure there are some about. People are just lazy and careless I guess...it's someone else's problem, not theirs.
ReplyDeleteBut your photos are good and it makes an interesting theme too :)

Thanks, Sharon! :)
DeleteWhat's especially baffling about the mess is that there are bins all over that park - in a couple of those photos the bin is actually less than 2 metres away!
