Since I've done the traditional collage of
action figure couples and
doll couples in years past, I thought that this year I would mix it up by sharing a 1980's Care Bear (in both his plush and figure forms) who is covered in hearts!

If you celebrate Valentine's Day, I hope it's a good one. And if you don't, I hope you're having a great week! :)
I don't celebrate Valentine's Day, TBH. I prefer to celebrate "Book Day" which is celebrated in Spain 23rd April.
ReplyDeleteHope you have a great weekend too.
Thank you!
DeleteI'm an avid reader, so that's my prefered event too! We actually have Book Day on that day in April in Canada as well. :)
I just learned that, a while back, that date was extended to several countries to promote reading. Here aswell, when you buy a book, they give you a red rose as a gift. I usually take advantage of the discounts book stores offer, as books in Spain are very expensive compared to other countries.
DeleteSo, so, so cute! My daughter had a collection of Care Bears.

Thank you! :)
DeleteDon't celebrate it anymore, but one can never have too much bear time anytime JS and these are very cute! :)
ReplyDeleteBig hugs,
X
The bears thank you! ;)
DeleteI love this post! It doesn't get more loved-filled then seeing some good old 80s Care Bears. :) Loved the photos!
ReplyDeleteThanks! I think we're both fans of toys of this age - I remember your awesome Care Bear cross-stitch. :)
DeleteVery cute, I hope you had a great St Valentine's Day!

Thank you! :)
DeleteOh doesn't this bring back fond memories of my childhood. I loved carebears. I saw recently in our toy stores they have scented ones out. It's so great these are still around today.
ReplyDeleteIt's true! I love that they're making a comeback. :)
DeleteHope you had a lovely Valentine's Day. We do not really celebrate it, but sometimes we eat something good together, as a family.
ReplyDeleteI remember Care Bears. Had no softies or figurines, but other stuff though. Stationary, pens and such!
I think I may have had a Care Bears pencil box at one point too. I wonder what happened to that! :)
DeleteI loved the Care Bears when I was a child!! I didn't know their English name until a couple weeks ago, honestly, but I read your whole post with a huge smile on my face.
ReplyDeleteI hope you had a wonderful Valentine's Day!
The little Kenner figures are something I'm actively tracking down lately. They're just so charming.
ReplyDeleteGood luck with your figure hunt! :)
