This is Father's Day weekend in the US and Canada, so I thought I'd post a quick on-theme photo for the occasion. And for all the fathers, grandfathers, step-fathers, and father-equivalents out there, enjoy your day!

The dad here is an Iplehouse EID Arvid in light brown and the son is an Island Doll Kevin in tan. |
And for all the non-Dads, hope you've had a great weekend as well!
Lovely photo :-) Strange the way these occasions are worked out... Mothers Day in NZ is the same as the rest of the world (pretty much) but not in the UK but Fathers Day in the UK is the same as the rest of the world (again generalisation) but not in NZ where it falls in September! I always have to remember to get cards in advance to send and then remember to send!
ReplyDeleteI know that feeling! While we're in the US now, our family is split between Belgium, the UK and Canada - I try to keep on top of when the holidays are, but I'm always forgetting some of them (sometimes it feels like most of them! ;)).
DeleteThey look like they're enjoying a bit of father and son time there JS! A cute photo :)

Thanks! I don't usually set up doll families, but these two are one of my few exceptions. :)
DeleteBeautiful dolls! How did you celebrate? My father passed many years ago and I am a single parent. My daughter bought me breakfast and said, "Mom, you deserve a break on Father's Day and Mother's Day! So happy Father's Day to you." She made me smile!
ReplyDeleteThanks! And that was sweet of your daughter! :)
DeleteMy sister just had her first child last week, so it was her husband's first father's day, which was fun. And my sister-in-law took her husband and their kids to a farm festival and ended up meeting the Prime Minister, so that was memorable as well!
Happy Father's day! What a lovely duo in your photo!
ReplyDeleteThanks! :)
DeleteVery sweet photo JS. We don't have Father's Day until September, but I still appreciate the sentiment.
ReplyDeleteHugs,
X
Thanks! :)
DeleteI sometimes think it would be fun to have a side blog that was nothing but holiday posts for as many versions of some specific holiday like this - but then I think of the work of keeping track of it all and I quickly get over it! ;)
Lovely photo! Hope you had a great weekend/Father's Day too!
ReplyDeleteThank you! :)
DeleteAw so cute!!!! It was father's day on sunday here in Chile too! Hope you had a great time, I had fun qith my dad :)
ReplyDeleteThanks! I'm glad you had a good Sunday! :)
DeleteAwww such an endearing photo, J! We celebrated in advance on Saturday and we had so much. Hope you had a wonderful celebration as well.<3
ReplyDeleteThanks! :)
DeleteLove the photo. They certainly look like they're related! I don't think ours here in Oz is until later in the year, I can never remember!
ReplyDeleteHeh, I'm always forgetting when holidays (and birthdays!) fall, so that's two of us! ;)
