Dolls and Dogs

After the impression my German Shorthair (Gunterdog) made after his guest appearance in my Dolls in the Snow post, I thought I'd post a few more photos of him with various members of the doll posse (it's all photos after the break).
"Don't look now, but I believe there's a giant dog behind us."
The dolls are Soom London & Souldoll Rouse
Hanging out on the deck.
The doll is a Dollzone Alpha.
Dog-riding.  The jockey is an Angelheim Venetio.
Probably the earliest of these dog-doll photos.
The dolls is an Angel Street Zazean
Not all of these were taken in my garden: this is on the Bruce Trail
(an 800km hiking trail that runs along the Niagara Escarpment)
The doll is an Iplehouse Chase ( I confess: taking a 3kg doll hiking is not the
smartest thing I've ever done...).
Also on the Bruce Trail.
The doll is an Iplehouse Aaron (who is significantly lighter than Chase, luckily).
And every now and then G-dog gets to pose indoors as well.
The dolls are Iplehouse Boris and Chase.
"Wait a minute! Why do the dolls get the chair? Woof!"
And that's it!  As much as I don't miss garden work, I do miss the photo opportunities that I had in our last house (and the proximity to hiking trails).  Still, I think I should take a doll or two on some site-seeing walks some time before we move away from the DC metro area in June.  Something to put on my to-do list!

Thanks for looking! :)

  1. Awww, I missed his first appearance. He almost doesn't look real in that first picture. What a sweetie. It actually looks like he's posing in some of those pictures. Thanks for sharing your baby with us.

    1. Thank you! I think he sees posing with the dolls as part of his duties as the household dog. ;)

  3. Great photos of your dog and your dolls! Your dog is behaving so well -- even letting the dolls ride him. What a good sport! He is very beautiful!

  4. Very cute...I love the perspective in some of these as the dolls appear to be so much bigger than what they really are!

  6. What would life be without a dog in it. Like dolls, they give you all the love you need with no back talk!! He's a very handsome boy and I bet he has brought you much happiness. :)

  7. LOL! I saw the preview image of the 1st photo before I got to the actual post and thought, "Oh, wow! She has a goat too!" Then I saw the title and was, "Wait. Whuut?" Even after clicking the photo to large size he still looks like a billy goat in the first photo with his cute little tail!

    1. LOL. I've actually always wanted to have a couple of goats - of course if I ever lived somewhere where they'd be appropriate I might change my mind, but it's a fun dream for now.

Maybe we won't tell the dog though! ;)

  9. What a beautiful dog! The photo of the doll jockey cracked me up. My dog would never have let me do that -- he'd have eaten the doll -- but he did once stay extra still so my mice could climb out of the cage and onto his nose. <3

    1. That sounds adorable! And I'm impressed by your dog's/mouse's relationship - that's trust! I'm not sure my dog would be able to suppress his prey drive enough to handle something like that. I always think my dog looks at my grandmother-in-law's rabbit and wondering why he's not allowed to hunt it. ;)
