Then and Now

I'm about to head out of town for a week, I just realized that my oldest BJD (Volks SD13 Heath) turned ten earlier this year, so I thought it would be fun to celebrate by sharing some photos before I go offline.
His current look.
Default look.
Trying to be funny with Aliens (and with Iplehouse
Aaron - before the dolls multiplied, these were
the only ones in the house.
The extra tall version (for about a year, the Heath head
lived on an Angelheim Elderheim body - 10cm taller
than the SD13 one).
With Iplehouse Arron again.
I think I've shared this one before, but it's
one of my favourites.

    1. Thanks!

They do have the build for the tall-and-brooding look, don't they? :)

  4. It's a great wig he wears now, it must have taken ages to put all those plaits in!
You beat me by a year, my oldest BJD won't be ten until next summer.....but my poor girl, being French resin, has now faired as well as your boy, mine is very very yellow, poor girl, she looks like she has jaundice!

    1. Thanks! :)

It's a shame about the jaundice, but maybe that works as a character trait? I have a light tan Iplehouse doll from 2009 that's gone a bit green, so I always imagine that she's just a little bit seasick. ;)

  6. Happy Birthday to Heath the Hunk. Enjoy your trip! I love the last photo as well...there is something about snow and evergreen...and the lighting on his face looks perfect. :)

    1. Thanks! I do love the way snow works in photos (and it's even better in older photos, since that means there's no shovelling to worry about!). ;)

  8. Awww... that's a truly fine look on him, with the tiny braids. And the snow photo is great!

    1. The default outfit is great, isn't it? I still have those boots on him, even though I rarely have him in the rest of it. :)

    1. The shirts are fun aren't they? And best of all, I found them at Dollarama! :)

  12. I like the sepia photo best with him showing off his fancy boots. Do you make wigs for the dolls or you buy them premade?

    1. I used to make them, but these days I only make fur wigs - the fibre ones are just too much work.
