Prettie Girls Tween Scene Outfit Sets: Rockstar Rage

Back in late August I took some photos of one of the Prettie Girls outfit sets. The lighting was less than ideal so I didn't post them at the time, but I've since noticed that there aren't many reviews of these floating around, so I thought there might be some worth to putting them up regardless of the photo quality.

The particular outfit that I picked up is called "Rockstar Rage". It includes 6 pieces: a t-shirt, dress, pair of socks and pair of shoes. The dress is faux leather, the top has a shiny pink body with leopard print sleeves, and the socks are camoflage.  The shoes are pink converse-style and made of the same soft plastic as the doll's default footwear.

The clothing quality is in-line with the default outfits that the dolls arrive in and fits the doll (in this case, Dhara) well.

But enough talk, let's look at some photos!

Overall, I'm fairly pleased with this outfit. However, as I mentioned in my review of the doll herself, the main drawback is that these dolls have very different proportions than most other mainstream play dolls. They have the relative proportions of a fashion doll but the height of a playdoll, which means they're too tall for Barbie-types and too skinny for the American Girl-types. Still, the outfit is reasonably priced for the quality, so if you do have one of these dolls, I can certainly recommend this one.

  1. Hi JS,
The photos are not too bad considering how difficult it is with tan dolls. The outfit looks cute on her, but I can see the dilema with this doll not being able to share clothes. She is quite an odd shape, and her arms look quite thin, especially in the last photo. I do like her face and hair though. :)

    1. Yup, she's a skinny one! But like you said, she has a cute face, and hey, maybe she doesn't need too many changes of clothing! ;)

    1. Thank you! They're hard to find even here where they're supposed to be available in shops. I actually had to pick up both her and this outfit online.

    1. Thank you! I've never seen the outfit packs in stores. I got lucky with this one - I was searching for something else online and ended up getting a random link to one of these. A happy accident! :)

  4. Cute doll and separate outfits! Just what the fans want! Will these dolls still be produced, or is there another type coming out?

    1. That's a good question. I know Prettie Girls is releasing a third doll size this year, but I'm not sure if these ones (or the smaller ones) are going to stay in production.

  6. Hello jSarie! I like the outfit, specially the black dress. I don't collect this Prettie Girls dolls, but they seem to be quite popular now. Didn't they look more like Barbies before?

    1. You're right, they did! The original Prettie Girls were Barbie-sized. Then they brought out these taller ones, and now they have a play-type doll in the works.

  7. Love how you can go and buy full outfits for dolls in your stores, here they rarely stock on barbie clothes XD! The outfit is lovely and the photos aren't bad in my opinion, and ork well with the review.
    Thanks for sharing!

  9. You know, I love the brightness of the faces on these dolls. The eyes get me every time.

The outfit looks really adorable on her. I love it. The colours go well with her too.
