200th Post Party! (and plans for the future)

200 posts calls for a cake!
I was just looking at my blog stats last week and realized that I was only a couple of posts away from this one, number 200!  It feels like my introductory post only just went up, but somehow that was more than two years ago: time flies!

This group of figures was the star of my first ever post on this blog.

Since that first post I've unboxed and reboxed dozens of dolls and figures, learned some lessons in photography, and have gotten to interact with all kinds of other collectors (and that's probably the best part, so thanks, you guys)!

I have a few new things rolling in shortly including a few Funko figures, and a couple of mid-range dolls.  I'm going to try to take some of the resident dolls and/or figures out for photos more often - I think I'll aim for twice a month.  And at some point I'm going to do another run of blind boxes - probably when Titan's Mass Effect series comes out in a couple of months.

I'm thinking about trying a few new things in the future: I've been thinking about trying to write  rambling commentaries to spin off of discussions I see on doll and figure forums.  I'm trying to come up with a clever name for it:  Musings on Mondays, maybe? Or Tuesday Thoughts? Something like that!

In any case, thanks for sharing in my doll and action figure adventures!
Slice of celebratory cake, anyone?

  2. That is impressive! I've been posting since 2011 and I still haven't reached 200 posts. LOL, I'm a lazy blogger.

I have enjoyed your blog immensely, so here's to 200 more!

The conversations that happen in the comments of people's blogs are probably the #1 reason I decided to start this one - I love seeing those exchanges too! :)

If I end up moving again this summer, this may be the year that my Gregor and Sasha baby make it out of storage, so maybe Caleb will have some friends soon. We'll see! :)

That's my favourite part too: there's so much out there, that I might never own, but someone does and I love getting to see them. :)

And yup, that's one of the giants on the right - I might have to do another size post some time just to set up some funny group shots with all the different sizes together. ;)

  20. Well congratulations, jSarie on your 200th post! I know what you mean when you say it seems like just yesterday you were writing the first post. As they say, time flies when you're having fun. And you're right...one of the best things about blogging is the new friends you make in this dolly blogosphere! You have a lovely collection and I look forward to your new idea for a commentary of the week or whatever you decide. Big hugs.
