Minimates Week: Captain Britain (Series 31 version)

Captain Britain
Being new to the Minimates line, there have been a few releases that I missed which are now either unavailable or which have doubled (or more) in price.  I was worried that the two Captain Britain figures would fall into that category, but I was lucky enough to find a loose one for a reasonable price (I, of course, needed them for my Captain Britain room).

This particular version was part of a general series of 8 Marvel characters, each of which was originally packaged with one other figure (this one came with Shadowcat).  He includes the basic MiniMates head, body, and limbs along with two option pieces - the Captain Britain facemask and a long, flowing mane of blonde hair.

Since finding this figure, I've also found the Excalibur series release on its own as well.  That one hasn't arrived yet, but I'm looking forward to having the pair on display together.  But that's for another day, so on with the photos of this one!

With the hair option piece (should we call this
"Brian Braddock mode"?)
Compared to a standard-sized action figure.

  1. I like how you can change his head. He's looking quite dashing with that long flowing blonde hair. :) He is reminding me a bit of He-Man, with the "X" mark across his chest. I'm glad you were able to find him at a reasonable price! I always seem to find out about toys way too late, so I am usually scouring the secondary market as well! Hope you enjoy your Sunday!

    1. Heh, the flowing hair is definitely the stand-out feature on him, isn't it?

I'm always torn about when the actual best time to discover a line is, but before they double in price is always a good starting point! ;)

  2. I'm not a pervert, I swear I'm not (okay, maybe), but dang, their packages look massive in the photos! I'm just like, totally focused on them, lol.

    1. LOL, now that you've drawn my attention to that area (*cough*) I'm not sure I'm going to ever look at them the same way again! ;)
