Random Toy of the Day: Cyclops and Dark Phoenix (Marvel's Greatest Battles Comic Pack)

I'm on holiday this week (and last), so rather than ignore blogging altogether, I thought it would be fun to share some toys that I love but don't have much to say about either because I've posted about similar toys before or just because they're fairly basic.

Up first is Dark Phoenix and Cyclops from one of the Greatest Battles Marvel Comic packs (my Captain Britain figure from this line appears on my Captain Britain wall).

As is standard for this line, they're small, but well-articulated and with a solid amount of detail.

    I like the detail paint on the Cyclops ,It gives him almost a cel shaded feel.

      You're right, and it's an interesting design choice - I wouldn't mind seeing more figures painted in that style.

    These are cool! I don't have a Dark Phoenix yet but she's pretty awesome, and I like Cyke's getup too.

      They're a fun pair to have together, so you totally need to add a Dark Phoenix to your collection. ;)

    I passed on this figure a while ago but looking at him now, he doesn't look too bad. I think there is a Captain America figure shaded in a similar fashion.

      Huh, I passed on the Captain American/Wolverine set from this series (it was in the same bin with these two) - I didn't notice if they were painted in the same style, but I bet they were.

      I almost regret not picking them up (they were all in a clearance bin together, so I couldn't have complained about the price!).
